Court Card

The Page, Knight, Queen, and King of a suit — often standing for people or facets of personality.

Each suit ends with four court cards — Page, Knight, Queen, and King — sixteen in all. They're where new readers most often get stuck, because a court card can mean an actual person, a part of you, or an energy to step into.

A simple frame: the rank is the how, the suit is the what. Pages are beginnings and messages; Knights are action and pursuit; Queens hold the suit's power inwardly, with care; Kings hold it outwardly, with authority. When one appears, ask first whether it's someone in your life or a way of being the cards are asking of you.
