Three-Card Spread

A simple three-card reading, most often Past, Present, and Future.

The three-card spread is the perfect place to begin: three cards, most often read as Past, Present, and Future. Its flexibility is its strength — the same three positions can be Situation / Action / Outcome, or Mind / Body / Spirit, or You / The Other / The Relationship.

Three cards give you enough for a real story — a beginning, a middle, and where it's heading — without the overwhelm of a large spread. Read them as a single sentence rather than three separate cards, and notice how the middle card bridges the other two.
