Yes/No Readings
A single card can answer a yes-or-no question — but the useful part is usually the 'why' underneath.
Sometimes you just want a yes or a no, and tarot can give one. The simplest method pulls a single card: read it upright as a yes and reversed as a no, letting the card's own tone tip the answer toward firm or qualified. Some readers instead lean entirely on the card's meaning — the Sun is a bright yes, the Three of Swords a clear no.
The honest caveat: yes/no is the shallowest way to use the deck, and the answer is only as good as the question. "Will this work out?" invites a coin-flip; the cards are built for more.
So treat the yes or no as the opening, not the close. Pull one more card and ask "why?", or "what would make it a yes?" — that second card is almost always where the reading earns its keep.
